Privacy & cookie policy

OPONFIX KAROL FETRAŚ respects the privacy of visitors to its website. Below is information about the browser storage technologies (cookies and localStorage) we use and how you can manage them.

What data do we store in your browser?

  • Language preference – when you accept preference cookies, selecting a language stores oponfix-language with the chosen language code, e.g. pl or en, in the browser's localStorage. This is a functional record of the current choice, not a tracking mechanism.
  • Theme preference – without a saved choice, the site selects its light or dark theme from the device's local time. After you use the switch, we store oponfix-theme with the value light or dark to preserve the appearance you explicitly selected. This functional preference is not used for tracking.
  • Cookie consent choice – we store the key oponfix-consent, which records your preference, analytics, and marketing choices together with the time they were saved. This is necessary to fulfill the consent obligation under the ePrivacy Directive.

Legal basis

The use of cookies and similar technologies requires user consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC, unless the use is strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. We treat remembering the language choice as a functional preference and ask for your consent. The theme is stored only after you use its switch and is necessary to provide the display setting you explicitly requested.

How long do we keep the data?

Data in localStorage remains in your browser until you manually delete it or clear site data.

How to manage your consent and data?

You can change the language and theme at any time using the controls in the top-right corner. Removing only oponfix-theme restores automatic mode. To delete every stored preference, clear browser data for oponfix.com or use private browsing mode.

Third-party cookies

If configured and you grant the relevant consent, the site may enable Google Analytics and send consent signals to Google Ads. The Google library is not downloaded before analytics consent. The public service-area map (OpenStreetMap via Leaflet) loads only after clicking “Map”. The map does not set cookies on this site.

The gallery loads the TikTok video only after you click “Load TikTok video”. Your browser then connects to TikTok and sends connection data, including your IP address. TikTok may use its own cookies. “Close player” removes the player from the page; it does not delete data already sent or TikTok cookies. The choice to load the video is not saved for future visits.
